Hey Hammockers!

With the weather cooling down and the days getting shorter, life is feeling more hectic than ever! After luxuriating in those long summer days outdoors, it’s always a jolt to walk out of the office in the evening and realize it’s already gotten dark! It feels like the day ends before it’s even gotten started, and night after night I find myself “burning midnight oil” while I try to check off my To Do list.

Of course, there are plenty of benefits to cozy winter evenings. More time to snuggle up by the fire, a chance to brush up on your board games or catch up on old movies, bowls full of hearty stew from the slowcooker…

Depending on the weather in your neck of the woods, you’ll probably be spending a good chunk of the next few months hibernating a bit. And with the holidays around the corner, you are going to want to make sure you have a nice lil oasis to escape from the whirlwind of parties, shopping & dangerously delicious food.

Which is what got us thinking… Winter might just be the most hammock-y season of them all! All that’s missing is a way to haul your hammock indoors and get it set up by the fireplace.

Well, for a long time now, we’ve believed that everyone should be able to hammock year-round. Unfortunately, not too many living rooms come equipped with tree branches strong enough to hold a hammock.

Luckily, one of our friends is an amazing engineer who thought up a great solution! Bryce sent us his design for a fresh, modern hammock stand that will support a Yellow Leaf Sitting Hammock in about the same footprint of floor space that a regular armchair would take up.

We are really excited about this! The possibilities are endless…
